The Royal Norwegian Yacht Club (KNS), in collaboration with the 11:Metre International Class Association, 11: Metre Norway, and Hankø Yacht Club, proudly invites all sailors to the 11:Metre World Championship 2026 — an unforgettable week of racing, camaraderie, and celebration at beautiful Hankø, Norway.
A World-Class Gathering
Interest from mor than 25 boats have already been registered, with crews hailing from Hungary, USA, Belgium, Australia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Norway and Sweden,
This strong international response sets the stage for a remarkable championship — with expectations of 30 boats and more than 150 sailors competing for the world title in August 2026.
A Renaissance in World Sailing
In 2022 the 11:Metre International Class Association was refunded. We can now announce that that the class again will be a World Class in World sailing.
Registration & Fees
To make participation simple and fair, the registration fee is divided into two parts:
Part 1: Non-refundable registration fee (secures your entry)
Part 2: Remaining balance, invoiced on June 1, 2026
Registration fee until 31.12.2025 - NOK 2.000.- (EUR 172) + Invoice NOK 5.000.- (EUR 430)
Registration fee until 31.05.2026 - NOK 3.000.- (EUR 258) + Invoice NOK 5.000.- (EUR 430)
Registration fee until 30.06.2026 - NOK 8.000.-
Registration fee until 15.07.2026 - NOK 9.000.-
All euro amounts are approximate and subject to exchange rate fluctuations at the time of payment.
